Savannah – 2011 Palomino Morgan Mare | 15.3 hands | $4,500 firm to an approved home
Savannah is a striking golden Palomino who combines rare color with classic Morgan type, substance, and presence. At 15.3 hands she is an elegant, correct mare with a strong pedigree and the kind of quiet, dependable temperament that makes her an excellent partner for the right person.
Temperament & Personality
We call her the “no-drama momma.” She is a gentle, steady soul who prefers to avoid conflict and has always ranked low in the herd pecking order. She has no vices, stands quietly for the farrier, and has remained healthy and sound. Savannah has lived out 24/7 for the past seven years (and was previously stalled without issue).
She is an independent mare rather than a cuddly one—happiest doing her own thing—and she can be a bit stubborn about deworming if rushed. With patience she is straightforward to handle with this task.
Riding & Training
Savannah has been my personal pleasure mount between breeding seasons and has proven ideal for young, inexperienced, and first-time riders. She offers more “whoa” than “go” and is clean and balanced at the walk, trot, and canter. She has been ridden comfortably in a side-pull, training hackamore, snaffle bit(i and even a plain halter. She has a solid foundation of groundwork and was beginning liberty work and simple tricks. Videos are available in her playlist (link below).
Breeding History
Savannah produced exceptional, taller, conformationally correct, athletic Morgans true to type. She also served as a reliable nanny mare, encouraging other foals to nurse while their dams rested. She has, however, slipped her last three pregnancies and is not being offered as a broodmare prospect.
Why She’s Available
Savannah has been my heart horse for nine years. She is only for sale because she is no longer being ridden (once a year x 4 years) or bred, and she still has a great deal to offer as a safe, experienced riding partner.
$4,500 firm to an approved home. Serious inquiries are welcome. Click the buttons below for videos and pedigree details.

Here’s your chance to own one of the rarest color combinations in the Morgan breed: a splash bay dun colt born 4/8/26 with confirmed color genetics and outstanding conformation. This flashy, high-quality youngster is available! He is priced reasonably for a limited time at $6,500 for serious buyers that appreciate rare color, solid breeding, and long-term potential.
He's halter broke, leads, ties, and he is good for the farrier. He accepts de-wormer, spray bottles, and electric clippers. He's been desensitized to objects and his training is ongoing so he will be a well-mannered youngster for his new owner.
The sire of Selah's Double Won N Dun is a promising young homozygous dun stallion who is the son of the distinguished Tocara's Double Dose. He passes on strong movement, type, excellent dispositions and the desirable dun dilution gene.
His dam is Shez Beyond Marvelous. She is a stunning buckskin homozygous splash and she consistently contributes excellent blood lines and athletic ability with exceptional Morgan type.
His confirmed DNA color genetic code is EE Aa Dd nSW1 so he is a rich bay dun with the classic primitive markings (dorsal stripe and leg bars) that is enhanced by a stunning blaze on his face and 2 white pasterns on his hind legs. Wizard is correct, he has strong bone, a very attractive head and natural athletic ability. He has shown excellent balance and presence. As a major bonus he is homozygous black extension (EE) so he can not pass on a red gene to his offspring if he is used for breeding. All of his foals will have the black extension. (No chestnut, red dun, palomino etc.).
From parents known for kind and trainable dispositions, this colt is curious, friendly, and people-oriented — typical of quality Morgans. He is an outstanding prospect for in-hand/halter classes, future performance or ideally as a breeding stallion to produce more rare and exotic splash dun foals, including grulla. At present the breed does not have a splash grulla.
Due to the rarity of his unique color genetics and quality, we welcome serious inquiries only. The rare splash dun combination doesn’t come around often! He is one of only four splash dun Morgan colts in the breed at this time and there is one filly. He is RARE.
"Kassie" is a coming 2-year old, foaling in January of 2025, and she is a bay homozygous dominant black extension splash (EE Aa n/SW1) filly. She possesses all of the quality that her late sire, La Cheval Knight Royale, consistently passed on to his foals. She is all UVM/old government bred on top of her pedigree and she cannot produce red-based offspring (chestnut, palomino). We are thrilled she will be a 50% black splash producer for our program if she isn't sold. She is $7,500 firm.
Kassie is halter broke, leads, ties, and she is good for the farrier. She accepts de-wormer, spray bottles, electric clippers and she has been desensitized to spooky objects. She is affectionate and she loves attention and human interaction.
Her late sire, 'Knight,' was the grandson and great-grandson of the 4-time World Champion, UVM Promise, who left a legacy on the breed through the many champions he produced. Her sire was also the grandson of the enviable Grand National Champion, UVM Tennyson, a dual performance/in-hand champion. He sired the Grand Champions UVM Opportunity, Cum Laude Nell, and UVM Windfall (Hall of Fame), with many of his get having had admirable show careers. Her dam descends from the highly regarded Marvelous Intrigue (Regional Hunter and In-hand Champion), which connects her to the Splash lineage through Marvelous Ideal (Lippitt Champion Sire of Get), adding to her impressive Morgan horse pedigree and enhancing other lines in her pedigree as well.

"Kassie"

This vibrant palomino colt will be making his new home in the Fort Worth TX area after weaning. A full sibling is expected in May 2027.

Little did I know, the purchasing of a weanling filly, sight unseen, in 2023, would become a blessed friendship over the love of Morgans. There was something special in this filly that had me mesmerized from the moment I saw her ad. When Cindy and I discussed the potential and the program that "Becky" would be joining, it all made sense. From Texas to Vermont a few months later, that filly stepped off the trailer like she'd been doing it her whole life. What a testament to the hours of hands-on training instilled from birth and the sensible breeding by Selah Morgans. This mare looks the part, steals everyone's hearts in the barn, and has the brains to back it all up. Becky has exceeded all expectations and is loved by all. Cindy has remained a part of Becky's milestones, getting first hand insight on the mare's development and training and her first show season. I'm beyond ecstatic to see where she goes in the show ring and breeding futures. I'm a lucky girl to have found such a well planned and quality mare from Selah Morgans. Thank you.
Cindy is an amazing horse breeder and trainer, and everything she told me about the Morgan horse I purchased from her was spot on! There were no hidden surprises... not one! Cindy is a true professional in her trade, with a wealth of knowledge and experience well beyond her years. It's truly remarkable that someone cares so much about horse breeding and puts so much work and effort into this breed.
Hannah has quickly become a barn favorite with the vet, farrier, and family, all due to her impeccable ground manners and sweet personality! She is just as perfect under saddle and as safe as can be! I was lucky enough to find Cindy at Crown Oaks Ranch, where they specialize in Selah Morgan horses, and now I own the horse of my dreams!
Crown Oaks Ranch is such a nice place, beautifully peaceful and home to some amazing Morgans for sale.
I will always recommend this place to anyone!
We visited Selah Morgans to look at Selah MidKnight Highlight, known as "Asher." At just under 2 months old, he was already well-grounded and did not hesitate to walk on lead. He was acclimated to various experiences, such as electric clippers, fly spray, and having his hooves picked up. During our visit, we also met his dam, Hazelrun Dominique, affectionately called "Minnie," and his sire, La Cheval Knight Royale, known as "Knight." Both were calm and friendly, which solidified our decision to bring Asher home.
Cindy, the owner, was incredibly nice and accommodating. She was honest about her horses and only spoke of their true capabilities. She kept us updated about Asher's progress with regular pictures and videos.
On one of our multiple visits, we found the facility empty. Cindy informed us that they were not available but offered to open the automatic gate for us if we felt comfortable. It was then that I recognized how well Cindy trained this herd of Morgan horses. As we entered through the gate, they slowly walked towards us, and even the stallion behaved gently, as if he recognized me.
When we picked up Asher four months later, the experience was uneventful; he loaded and unloaded without hesitation. Despite being abruptly separated from his herd and thrust into a new environment, he remained unfazed. What a bold and intelligent weanling he is, demonstrating so much knowledge at such a young age.
Many thanks to Cindy for her exceptional horse breeding skills! Asher was so prepared for his big move that it felt like he had been born and raised here. If I ever decide to get another horse, it will definitely be a Selah Morgan.
I purchased my very first Morgan horse (a weanling named Selah It Is Well) from Selah Morgan Horses, and it was such a stress-free transaction. Cindy showed me his pedigree and provided countless pictures and videos of him, along with his dam and sire, so I knew exactly what I was getting when we pulled in to pick him up. They prioritize horse breeding and take great care of their foals, building a solid groundwork foundation. Knight's kind temperament shines through his lineage, as well as his exceptional conformation. The only issue I have is the temptation to buy more Morgans for sale (if not all) of his offspring. I would absolutely purchase from them again!
